Almaty. August 23. Silkroadnews – The U.S. prepare new sanctions to pressure China because of the DPRK, Russian information portal Life.ru reports citing the Wall Street Journal.
The U.S. federal prosecutors intend to freeze the funds of a number of Chinese companies to increase pressure on the country. The U.S. attorney office steps up a series of measures against the Chinese business to increase pressure on the country because of the PRC’s ties with North Korea, the report said.
This move by Washington, as noted, is aimed to get Beijing to take more effective steps regarding Pyongyang’s nuclear program, in particular, the U.S. is going to freeze the funds of a number of Chinese companies allegedly involved in financing of the DPRK nuclear program.
So far, it is reported, prosecutors can only freeze assets, to withdraw the funds a criminal case should be initiated.
