U.S. successfully tested a controlled nuclear bomb at a test site in Nevada
Beijing. 2 July. Silkroadnews - The U.S. has successfully tested the controlled nuclear bomb of B61-12 project at the test range in Nevada, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports with reference to Izvestia.
Reportedly, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the U.S. Air Force completed two non-nuclear system qualification flight tests involving B-2A Spirit Bomber in early June.
“These qualification flight tests demonstrate the B61-12 design meets system requirements and illustrate the continued progress of the B61-12 life extension program to meet national security requirements,” the agency quoted saying by Brig. Gen. Michael Lutton, the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Principal Assistant Deputy Administrator for Military Application.
