U.S. visa policy not to change for Chinese citizens, U.S. State Department announces

Beijing. June 4. Silkroadnews - The U.S. visa policy for Chinese citizens will remain unaltered, People’s Daily wrote.
Earlier it was reported that the United States planned to shorten the duration of the validity of visas issued to some Chinese citizens.
According to media, the U.S. State Department recently announced the U.S. visa policy for Chinese citizens has not changed. Chinese students who go to study in the US can get visas with a validity of up to five years.
The U.S. State Department stressed the country welcomes visits by Chinese citizens.
“Personnel exchanges are the foundation to boost cooperation in all fields between China and the United States. The facilitation of visas between the two countries is reciprocal and serves the common interests of the two peoples,” China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said.
According to Hua, both sides should take measures to improve the conditions for exchange and cooperation in various fields.
