UK will extend military mission in Afghanistan until 2017

Almaty. October 28. Silkroadnews - stationed in Afghanistan, British troops will remain in Afghanistan in 2016, said Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
"We came to the conclusion that the British military mission should continue at the same level in 2016, to help build a secure and stable Afghanistan", - said the Minister of Defence of the United Kingdom Michael Fallon.
According to him, in recent months the armed forces of Afghanistan were subjected to a test of strength.
"The Government of the United Kingdom understands that Afghan forces will take time out, to finally become a force able to provide security throughout the country", - said the head of the defense department.
He also explained that the decision of the British authorities was amde due to the recent increase in the region of the movement "Taliban".
Currently in Afghanistan there are 450 British soldiers. They participate in the training of local officers, as well as provide support for NATO operations in Kabul.
