Ukraine’s media Internet advertising market grew 40% in 2017

Beijing. February 2. Silkroadnews - Ukraine’s media Internet advertising market grew 40% in 2017, amounting to 2.51 billion UAH, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports.
At the same time, according to the Ukrainian Internet Association (UIA), this figure exceeded the level of 2012 ($94.46 million versus $74.33 million), but has not reached the level of 2013 ($114.6 million).
“In terms of growth dynamics online advertising is significantly ahead of other segments of Ukraine’s media market. According to the statistics from the All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition, television advertising in 2017 grew by 29% compared to 2016, press advertising rose by 18%, while radio advertising increased by 20%,” the association said in a press release.
The share of direct sales in the market of media Internet advertising, according to the association’s data, reached 52.5% in 2017.
The share of social media and instant messengers (FB, VK, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Skype, Viber, etc.) in advertising made 26.49%.
The methodology for measuring the volume of media Internet advertising was based on a cross-sectional analysis of survey data provided by the biggest advertising agencies, websites and sales houses.
