UN adopted Chinese resolution on human rights

Beijing. March 27. Silkroadnews - The UN Human Rights Council has adopted a resolution submitted by China and calling for the nations to uphold the principle of multilateral relations and work together to promote mutually beneficial cooperation, China Daily reported.
The resolution “Promoting Mutually Beneficial Cooperation in the Field of Human Rights” supports the development of international relations based on mutual respect, justice and mutually beneficial cooperation aimed to build a community with a shared future for humankind, in which the rights of every person are protected.
Yu Jianhua, the head of the Chinese mission to the UN, presented the resolution to the council, saying that in order to achieve the goal of universal human rights, all the nations need to firmly establish the concept of mutually beneficial cooperation.
“We live on the same planet, share common interests and face the same challenges, and we have become an interdependent community with a shared destiny,” Yu said.
Reportedly, the resolution calls on other countries to strengthen human rights through the mutually beneficial cooperation in accordance with the priorities established by the countries concerned.
It also affirms that the work of the UN Council should be based on the principles of universality, impartiality, objectivity, non-selectivity, constructive international dialogue and cooperation in order to protect all human rights - civil, political, economic, social and cultural, including the right to development.
“All human rights are universal, indivisible, interrelated, interdependent and mutually reinforcing, and must be treated in a fair and equal manner, on the same footing and with the same emphasis,” the resolution says.
