UN Secretary General condemned terrorist attack in Kabul

Almaty. December 29. Silkroadnews - The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned the double act of terrorism in Kabul, which killed more than 40 people, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports referring to the office of the secretary general.
The UN Secretary General extends his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured. He also expressed solidarity with the people and government of Afghanistan and believes the peace process is the only way to ensure the stability of Afghanistan, TASS said.
The UN Security Council also condemned the blasts in Kabul and stressed, the executors, organizers and sponsors of the terrorist attack should face the consequences of their actions. The Security Council members called on all nations to actively cooperate with the government of Afghanistan in investigation of the attack as committed according to the international law.
The Security Council also reminded, terrorism is one of the most serious threats to international peace and security, and a crime, no matter what goals its pursue, and called on the countries to fight terrorism with all means, while respecting human rights.
A suicide bomber on Thursday blew himself up near the news agency Afghan Voice Agency, killing at least 40 people and injuring 90 others. The Daesh group claimed responsibility for the attack.
