Unemployment rate decreased in China’s market

Almaty. August 15. Silkroadnews – Unemployment rate has decreased in the Chinese labor market, Xinhua news agency reports.
“China continued to see a stable job market in July, with the unemployment rate at a relatively low level. The country’s urban surveyed unemployment rate was around 5.1 percent last month, lower than that for July 2016, according to Mao Shengyong, spokesman for the National Bureau of Statistics”, the report said.
For major cities the surveyed rate is reported to stay below a 5% mark.
According to the publication, in the month when students graduate from universities this reading is especially hard to achieve.
“It was not easy to maintain the low unemployment rate in the month when college students graduate. College graduates this year reached 7.95 million, up about 300,000 from 2016”, the publication reads.
Data by China’s National Bureau of Statistics shows 8.55 million people were employed in the country’s urban regions during the period January-July 2017, up 200 thousand from the same period of last year. The government plans to create 11 million new jobs this year.
