Almaty. November 23. Silkroadnews – US allowed sale of 106 Airbus aircraft to Iran, IrTAG writes.

The US Treasury has approved a so-called expert license allowing the European company Airbus to sell 106 commercial aircraft to Iran.

In March the Iranian government announced an agreement with Airbus on purchase of 114 aircraft for the country’s civil air fleet. Besides, Iran has a preliminary agreement with Boeing to acquire more than 100 passenger aircraft in the amount of $25 billion.

The export license by the US Treasury is required for the manufacturers, including the foreign ones, to make sure they do not violate the provisions of the US sanctions against Iran.
