US blocked UN Security Council’s statement on bombardment of Russian embassy in Damascus

Almaty. November 21. Silkroadnews – Once again the United States blocked the statement of the UN SC (UN Security Council) condemning the attacks of terrorists on the building of the Russian embassy in Damascus, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports referring to the newspaper Izvestia.
“The proposed draft statement for the press of the UN Security Council, condemning the attack of terrorists on the building of the Russian embassy in Damascus on November 20, was again blocked by the American delegation,” the agency quoted the press secretary of the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN Fyodor Strzhizhovsky saying.
He also reminded, the incident was another far from the first case when “the leaders of the so-called coalition demonstrate double standards” regarding to terrorist attacks on Russian diplomatic missions.
On Monday the Russian Foreign Ministry reported the Russian embassy in Damascus was subjected to mortar shelling by terrorists. No casualties recorded among the embassy personnel, the wall of the embassy building has been damaged.
