US citizen was deported from Kyrgyzstan on suspicion of extremism activitites

Almaty. March 30. Silkroadnews - US citizen Umar Faruk was expelled from Kyrgyzstan on suspicion of extremist organization, reports KyrTAG.
As reported, according to the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, on March 25, 2015 during checking documents Osh police detained US citizen Umar Faruk. During the inspection were found a copy of the investigative documents of criminal cases brought against the detained recently leader of REO "Hizb ut-Tahrir" and individual members of terrorist groups, and a DVD with videos of the religious extremist and terrorist nature, calling for "jihad" and sectarian strife.
It was found that the detainee has been collecting information about the religious situation in Osh region without proper accreditation. On this fact, on the basis of the results of theological examination, the investigating authority шт Osh and Osh region prosecuted a criminal case under Art. 28 Art. 297 and Art. 299-2 Part 1 of the Criminal Code.
