US Interagency Group will hold consultations in Central Asia on Afghanistan

Almaty. April 21. Silkroadnews - US Interagency Group will hold consultations in Central Asia on Afghanistan on April 20-24, reported the press service of the US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
"Recognizing the importance of the contribution of all five Central Asian republics in the expansion of regional stability, inter-departmental group on 20-24 April will visit Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan to hold bilateral consultations on Afghanistan", - said in a statement on Tuesday.
It is noted that from US the consultations will participate Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Daniel Rosenblum and Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Laurel Miller.
It is reported that an interdepartmental group will discuss with government officials the NATO mission in Afghanistan.
It is noted that the United States looks forward to working to address common challenges and threats, as well as the continuation of a strong partnership on issues of regional security and stability with the governments of the Central Asian republics.
