US said EU, China and Russia are its foes
Beijing. Jul 16. Silkroadnews - President of the United States Donald Trump said the European Union (EU), Russia and China are foes of the U.S. in trade, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports with reference to Kommersant.
“Well, I think we have a lot of foes. I think the European Union is a foe, what they do to us in trade. Now, you wouldn’t think of the European Union, but they’re a foe. Russia is foe in certain respects. China is a foe economically, certainly they are a foe. But that doesn’t mean they are bad. It doesn’t mean anything. It means that they are competitive,” he said in an interview with CBS News.
Reportedly, at the NATO summit in Brussels Trump criticized the European countries for their insufficient funding of the alliance and support for the Nord Stream-2. He said, it is unacceptable that Germany pays billions for Russian gas, while the U.S. is trying to protect it as an ally in NATO.
On July 16, the first bilateral summit meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States will be held in Helsinki. The leaders of the two countries will discuss the conflicts in Syria and Ukraine, disarmament issues, as well as Russia’s alleged interference into the U.S. elections in 2016.
