US to introduce new sanctions against Iran

Almaty. July 5. Silkroadnews – The United States plan introducing new sanctions against Iran in violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Iranian TV channel Press TV reported.
“The US Senate almost unanimously voted to impose new sanctions against Iran, which is a serious violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action”, the statement said on Wednesday.
It is noted, the law on prolongation of sanctions against Iran and Russia, supported by both parties, was submitted to the US Senate on June 15. The law on sanctions, known as the act of counteracting the destructive actions of Iran, passes by a vote of 97-2.
The sanctions, as explained, are directed against the Iranian missile program and based on statements that Iran is considered as a source of instability in the region.
According to TV channel report, the bill ran into objections by the White House, which could delay its adoption.
