US Vice President and head of Afghanistan discussed security situation in Afghanistan

Beijing. January 17. Silkroadnews - US Vice President Mike Pence had a phone conversation with the head of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani to discuss the security situation in the Afghan region, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports referring to the ABC News.
The Vice President discussed the security situation in Afghanistan, as well as the impact of President Trump’s strategy on South Asia in this regard. Both Vice President and Ashraf Ghani noted the bravery and sacrifice of coalition and Afghan soldiers in the fight against the international terrorist organizations such as Islamic State and Al-Qaida.
Reportedly, Pence and Ghani also discussed political situation in Balkh province. The vice-president noted his support of the Afghan government in work with the governor of Balkh for the post peaceful transfer.
