Use of energy in China may grow by 5.5% in 2018

Beijing. March 26. Silkroadnews - Electricity consumption in China this year could grow by about 5.5%, provided there will not be large-scale natural disasters, Xinhua reports.
Reportedly, the expected growth rate is less than 6.6% in 2017 and 13.3% in the first two months of this year.
According to the deputy head of the China Electricity Council Yang Kun, short supply will be observed only in some regions during peak hours.
Last year, China’s economy grew 6.9% and significantly exceeded the government’s annual rate of about 6.5%.
According to the forecast by the International Monetary Fund, China’s economy will grow 6.6% this year.
