Uzbek sum exchange rate against the dollar fell to 5.38 this week
Almaty. February 9. Silkroadnews – For the sixth week in a row, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan carries out a “soft” devaluation of the sum: starting from February 9, 2016, the national currency exchange rate against the US dollar makes 2841.6 sum, which is 4.73 more than a week (2836.87) before, the news agency of Uzbekistan (UzTAG) reports.
Until now, the Uzbek currency is unstable: from January 5, 2016, sum “fell” to 6.49, then on January 12 – moved to 4.96, on January 19 – to 5.05, on January 26 – to 5.01, on February 2 – to 5.38, as of February 9 – to 4.73.
Earlier, from the beginning of October 2015 the regulator decreased the rate to 15 Sum: on October 6 - to 14.08 sum, on October 13 - to 14.14 sum, on October 20 - to 14.23 sum, on October 27 - to 14.3 sum, then from November 3 - 14.38 sum, November 10 - to 14.46 sum, November 17 - to 14.53 sum, November 24 - 14.62 sum, December 1 - 14.69 sum, December 10 – 14.77 sum, December 15 - 14.85 sum, December 22 - 14.93 sum, December 29 - 15 sum.
And prior to that until September 29, 2015, the national currency weakened versus the US dollar by about 5 sum per week.
