Uzbekistan and Belgium signed the documents for the avoidance of double taxation

Almaty. February 24. Silkroadnews - Brussels (Belgium) signed a Protocol amending the Convention between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kingdom of Belgium for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion on income and capital from November 14, 1996, reported the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG).
According to the State Tax Committee (STC), introduced in the protocol changes are consistent with international standards in the field of tax transparency and exchange of information which will enhance the effectiveness of tax information exchange in order to counter abuses in the payment of taxes.
The document was signed by Uzbekistan Chairman of the State Tax Committee Batyr Parpiyev and the Belgian Minister of Finance Johan Van Overtveld,  Finance Minister Annemie Turtelb Flanders.
During the ceremony, the Belgian side noted an important indicator of the two countries which have mutual interest on further expansion and deepening of  mutually beneficial cooperation.
