Uzbekistan and the Netherlands agreed on introduction of innovative technologies for fruits and vegetables storage

Almaty. June 8. Silkroadnews – Holding company “Uzbekozikovkatholding” and Dutch Association GMV signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of implementation of high-tech innovative technologies and equipment for deep processing, packaging and storage of fruits and vegetables for a total amount of 31 million euros, Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports.

The sides have also agreed to carry out a workshop in Tashkent to contribute to the production of modern packaging products and re-equipment of Uzbekistan’s enterprises based on advanced technologies, to get the Uzbek producers acquainted with confectionery products based on the most recent technologies of cocoa beans processing and chocolate production by “Duyvis Wiener” company.  

As reported by the holding, the signing took place during the Uzbek delegation’s visit to the Netherlands. Delegation included representatives of the holding, senior officials of trade and logistics centers, cold stores, processing companies, commercial banks.

Within the visit framework the representative of Uzbekistan met with officials of the Ministry of Economy of the Netherlands, mayor of the city of Venlo, representatives of research institutes and universities, heads of the companies producing the process equipment and refrigerators for the processing and storage of agricultural and food products.
