Uzbekistan has reorganized the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection

Almaty. February 24. Silkroadnews - Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Uzbekistan is reorganized into the Ministry of Labor, Trend reports.
In accordance with the decree of President Islam Karimov “On measures on further improvement of the system of social support and medical and social assistance to the vulnerable populations”, the tasks of providing the medical and social assistance to the disabled people, including disabled children, war veterans, veterans, lonely older adults and other members of vulnerable groups, as well as the organization of professional training of persons with disabilities and the development of inclusive vocational education, are now assigned to the Ministry of health.
    The residential care facilities “Muruvvat” and “Sahovat” for the disabled people and older adults, National Center for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics for the disabled people, regional rehabilitation centers for the disabled people, resorts for the war and labor veterans, republican specialized professional colleges for persons with disabilities in Tashkent and Ferghana , and law school №2 in the capital of Uzbekistan are transferred from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection into the jurisdiction of Ministry of Health.
    Tasks for monitoring the appointment and payment of social benefits and material assistance to the families and individuals in need, previously fulfilled by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, are now assigned to the Ministry of Finance.
