Uzbekistan has signed $1 billion contracts to supply fruits abroad

Almaty. November 16. Silkroadnews –  At the recent international fair held in Tashkent Uzbekistan signed more than $1 billion contracts on fruits and vegetablesto supply, UzTAG reports.

“Uzbekistan has signed 355 contracts to the amount of $1.009 billion to deliver 1.4 million tonnes of fruits and vegetables across the border”, publication says.

As a whole vegetables amount to 32% of the total delivery volume, grapes – 17%, fruits – 25%, dried and processed products and bean products – 13% each, melons – 1%.

Summarizing the results of ten months of the year, Uzbek farmers have delivered abroad about 670 thousand tonnes of products, by the end of this year this volume is expected to reach 1 million tonnes.
