Almaty. December 17. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan in 2015 plans to increase exports of fruits and vegetables to 600 thousand tons compared to 500 thousand tons expected at the end of 2014, informs KazTAG.
For example, in 2015 the fruit and vegetable production in Uzbekistan is planned at 15.5 million tons compared to 14.4 million tons expected at the end of 2014.
As reported, in late November, First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Azimov, speaking at the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in Tashkent, said that the lack of tariff concessions for the carriage of fruit and vegetables from Uzbekistan through the territory of the Customs Union (CU) leads to "gray" schemes to trade this product.
In particular, according to the Uzbek deputy prime minister, a common practice when the Uzbek fruits and vegetables imported into Kazakhstan and from there re-exported to other countries of CU is already under Kazakh brand.
