Uzbekistan increased imports of Kazakh wheat in January-April by 32.6%

KazTAG - Kazakhstan exported in January-April 2015 to Uzbekistan 310.3 thousand tons of wheat and mixture of wheat and rye, totaling to $52.4 million, which is 32.6% more in quantity and 41.1% - in value compared to the same period in 2014, informed the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Ministry of Finance.
As indicated in published statistical data of the SRC, Kazakh wheat exports in January-April amounted to 879.5 thousand tons worth $193.9 million, which is 45% less in quantity and 48.5% - in value.
The largest consumers of Kazakh grain in addition to Uzbekistan, are: Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Italy, Azerbaijan, China, Afghanistan, Turkey.
In addition, Kazakhstan exported 127.8 thousand of barley (-41.1%) worth $25.7 million (-42.3%).
