Uzbekistan lowered norm of compulsory sale of foreign currency for exporters of fruit and vegetables

Almaty. September 21. Silkroadnews – Uzbekistan has lowered norm of compulsory sale of foreign currency for exporters of fruit and vegetables from 50% to 25%, UzTAG reported.

This change came into force on September 20.

«The enterprises and organizations exporting fruits, vegetables, grapes and melons, regardless of the legal form and departmental affiliation, including microcompanies, small businesses, farmers and private farms, must sell 25% of foreign exchange earnings coming from the fresh products export», the statement says.

With this, the foreign trade company «Uzagroeksport» continues to operate in selling and sending for export of the products mentioned through its joint ventures and trading houses located abroad.

«Uzagroeksport» was created in April 2016 and is a part of the holding company «Uzbekozikovkatholding».
