Uzbekistan plans to implement 33 energy project worth over $ 8.9 billion before the end of 2020
Almaty. December 24. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan until the end of 2020 plans to implement 33 investment projects aimed at the development of electric power industry, worth more than $ 8.9 billion. This was reported by the Uzbek Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
"Uzbekenergo" plans modernization and reconstruction of 15 existing hydroelectric power plants, the construction of new combined-cycle plants at four power plants, and solar photovoltaic plants in Samarkand, Namangan and Surkhandarya regions. As a result of these works hydroelectric power plant capacity will increase to 200 MW, and further produce 600 million kW/h of electricity and save 250 million cubic meters of natural gas.
