Uzbekistan plans to launch a GPS tracking system for transit cargo

Almaty. July 3. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan, in the nearest future is planning to launch a GPS tracking system for the cargo being transported on vehicles, says the Uzbek news agency (UzTAG).
A decree is currently being developed by the State Customs Committee (SCC).
As noted in the document, in the system will work operators, that provide service of monitoring of mobile objects with the use of GPS.
To process incoming information, the SCC will set up a special control center.
Application of GPS systems will be carried out only on vehicles approved for transport under customs seal. When using the new system carriers are exempt from physical customs escort.
