Uzbekistan’s central bank kept the refinancing rate at the level of 9% per annum

Almaty. April 25. Silkroadnews – The Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan made a decision to retain the refinancing rate at the level of 9% per annum, according to UzTAG.

“Keeping the refinancing rate at this level allows to proceed with the monetary policy course, aimed, first of all, to retain inflation within the targets and at the same time create a favorable financial and investment conditions to achieve the economic growth rates planned for the country this year,” the report by the Central Bank says.

The last time when the refinancing rate was reduced by 1 percentage point from 10% to 9% was on January 01, 2015.
