Uzbekistan temporarily bans pork imports from United States

Tashkent. June 5. Silkroadnews – Uzbekistan’s State Sanitary-Epidemiological Surveillance temporary banned import of American pork to the country.
“The decision to ban this import is associated with recent reports about American pigs currently suffering from diarrhea”, a spokesperson of that State Service informed.
State Customs Committee representative also informed that the US accounts for less than 5% of pork import to Uzbekistan.
