Uzbekistan to attract $7.7 billion worth loans throughout 2022
Almaty. January 23. Silkroadnews – Government of Uzbekistan plans to attract more than $7.7 billion loans from the international financial institutions throughout 2022, Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports.
The funds are planned to be attracted within the strategy for Uzbekistan’s development in 2017-2021.
The draft decree says, the funds in the amount of $3 billion to be raised from the World Bank in 2016-2020 are planned to be directed to implement 27 projects. In 2016-2018 the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is expected to provide Uzbekistan with loans totaling $3.7 billion for 25 projects realization, and $1 billion from the Islamic Development Bank in 2017-2019 will be used to finance the priority projects.
Besides, throughout 2022 the government of Uzbekistan plans to work to attract grants and loans of China Eximbank, Korea Eximbank, JICA, KOISA, GIZ, French Development Agency and other organizations.
