Almaty. October 10. Silkroadnews - Volume of daily retail turnover grew by more than 10% during “Golden week” in China, The Business Times reported.
“China’s daily retail sales during the country's Golden Week holiday that ended on Sunday rose at a double-digit pace, data from the commerce ministry showed. Average daily sales of retailers and catering firms increased 10.3 per cent to 1.5 trillion yuan (S$308 billion) during the eight-day National Day holiday,” the report said.
It is noted that lasting from October 1 to 8 this year the “Golden week” is a peak season for both distant and not-too distant travelling.
As reported by China’s commerce ministry, this year such services as car-sharing and hotel-sharing become more popular.
According to the National Tourism Administration of China, during the national holiday this year, the Chinese made 705 million trips, which is 11.9% more than in the same period last year. At the same time, China’s tourism industry revenues totaled 583.6 billion yuan, an increase of 13.9% compared to the previous year.
