Work of Kazakh craftsmen to be showcased at ethno-village in St. Petersburg

Astana. May 12. Silkroadnews – Astana Culture Days are set to start on the 17th of May, 2014 in Saint Petersburg, as Astana City Authority reports.
“St Petersburg residents and guests of that city will have the opportunity to get acquainted with Kazakh crafts and participate in crafting workshops. “The Kazakh village” exposition will be created with that purpose in mind", Astana City Authority Facebook page informs.
The workshops on matt-weaving, wool braiding, embroidery of quilted felt matt, rope twisting, carpet weaving and pottery will be held.
Moreover, renowned Kazakh artists are to participate in gala-concert during those days. Astana ballet is to give a choreographic performance, while the national chamber orchestra is to hold a classic music concert.
