World Bank will allocate $45 million for road rehabilitation in Tajikistan

Almaty. February 26. Silkroadnews - The World Bank (WB) approved allocation of $45 million for the rehabilitation of roads in Tajikistan on the border with Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Thursday.
It ia noted that the funds are allocated within the overall program to improve transport links in Central Asia.
In Tajikistan, the program will be implemented in 2015-2020 and will include the restoration of the 70-kilometer stretch road in Sughd.
This will improve access to markets and provide jobs for 2.6 million inhabitants of the region.
