Xi Jinping called to strengthen military-civil integration

Beijing. March 14. Silkroadnews - President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping urged the armed forces to uphold and further accelerate the civil-military integration to support the realization of the Chinese dream and build a world-class army, China Daily reported.
“Implementing the strategy of military-civilian integration is a prerequisite for building integrated national strategies and strategic capabilities and for realizing the Party’s goal of building a strong military in the new era,” Xi said.
He called for the efforts to facilitate military development featuring higher quality, efficiency and scientific and technological levels.
Stressing coordinated scientific and technological innovations in key areas between the military and civil sectors, Xi called for the promotion of a comprehensive analysis and implementation of key scientific and technical projects to achieve the strategic ground in the field of scientific and technological innovation.
Xi also noted, the efforts should be made to speed up the creation of a modern system of military policy.
The president instructed the military to strongly support the Party and the institutional reform of the country and ensure the implementation of reform in both the military and civil sectors. Xi also stressed that more efforts should be undertaken to build the system of the rule of law in the Chinese armed forces.
He asked each member of the armed forces to support the Constitution and be its faithful supporter, active follower and firm defender, and added that Party committees and governments at all the levels should make greater efforts to support the cause of defense and military progress, while the armed forces should promote economic and social development.
