Xi Jinping’s book on governance sold 6.42 million copies in 21 languages

Almaty. August 24. Silkroadnews – Xi Jinping’s book on governance sold 6.42 million copies in 21 languages, China Daily reported.
“The book “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” is on display at the 24th Beijing International Book Fair, which opened Wednesday, and has been issued in more than 160 countries and regions since its debut in September 2014”, the report reads. To date, the book has been published in 21 languages, including Chinese, English, French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Japanese, and sold 6.42 million copies.
The book was compiled by the State Council Information Office of China, the CCCPC Party Literature Research Office and China International Publishing Group and aroused heightened interests both in China and abroad.
Cambodia held a symposium devoted to the book, the Prime Minister of Thailand recommended the book to country’s cabinet members, Hollywood directors expressed a desire to cooperate with their Chinese colleagues following the book publication. This work is on the tables of Peru’s President Pedro Kuczynski and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Xi Jinping’s book is considered to be “starry”, has been displayed at the Frankfurt, London and New York book fairs and included in the libraries of the presidential palace of Nepal, the U.S. analytical centers and the National Library of Serbia, the publication reads.
The newspaper reminds, the book was first released in September 2014.
