Zoo employees punished in Kazakhstan as animal cruelty scene unveils in front of visitors

Karaganda. March 17. Silkroadnews – Zoo employees were punished for malpractice in Karaganda as animal cruelty scene unveiled in front of the visitors. They employees allowed jaguars to rip up a bear cub for meat in front of terrified public, the zoo administration reports.

“That bear cub was born weak and sick. He had no chance of survival. It was decided he we would feed him to jaguars. However, it was never meant to happen in front of the public. The deputy director of the zoo along with the manager of carnivores section of the zoo were both reprimanded”, the zoo administration informed last Monday.

The kids were among the observers, when two jaguars ripped up the bear cub.

“That bear cub was born 1.5 months ago. The mother-bear rejected him straight away as he was sick and not fit for survival. His vital organs were damaged, he had a tumour in his liver. Our attempts to get him in shape weren’t successful. At the meeting we decided that he is to be fed to carnivores”, explained one of the employees.

This scene is described as a “nightmare” by the entire team of professionals working in the zoo.
