Iran announced its readiness to supply the Azerbaijani Armed Forces with military equipment

Almaty. April 21. Silkroadnews - Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to provide Azerbaijani Armed Forces with the necessary arms and military equipment. This was stated by Iranian Defense Minister Hussein Dehkan at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
According to H.Dehkan, Tehran and Baku share common interests in the region, face similar challenges and threats to its stability and security, which makes strengthening the Iranian-Azerbaijani cooperation across the spectrum of bilateral relations very important.
"Our two countries have common geopolitical interests, common interests and common threats that we face, we created the urgent need, more than ever, to move towards the expansion of multifaceted cooperation between us", - said the minister.
In addition, he criticized the policies of some Western powers in the region, accusing them of inciting managed conflicts and crises in the Middle East.
In turn, the head of Azerbaijan welcomed the prospect of expanding military cooperation with Iran, pointing to the close relationship in the stability, security and development of both countries.
The parties also noted the need for a coordinated response and actions to combat terrorism and extremism,and the ideology of Takfiri.
