$10 billion worth contracts are expected to be signed during Chinese leader’s visit to Russia

Almaty. June 29. Silkroadnews – $10 billion worth contracts are expected to be signed by Russia and China during the official visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Russia scheduled for July 3-4, 2017, TASS reports.
“The parties intend to sign contracts for a total of more than $10 billion. For this the visit is expected to bring our bilateral relations to a higher level”, Assistant Foreign Minister Li Huilai said.
“During the visit, the parties also intend to sign a number of important documents on intergovernmental cooperation. One of the most important political documents will be the adoption of two joint statements by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin”, he added.
The first of these important documents, Li Huilai noted, will be devoted to bilateral relations.
“It will lay a plan for development of relations and cooperation between the two states. The second joint statement will be devoted to international problems. It will explain the joint position of China and Russia and their determination to maintain order, peace and stability”, the assistant minister explained.
During the visit Xi Jinping also plans to hold a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
The Chinese President Xi Jinping will make official visits to Russia and Germany during July 3-6, 2017. On the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, he is also expected to attend G20 summit in Hamburg on July 7-8, 2017.
