110 projects with a total investment of $12.7 billion registered in the new Binhai district of Tianjin
Almaty. August 21. Silkroadnews – 110 projects with a total investment of $12.7 billion have been registered in the new Binhai district of Tianjin, Xinhua news agency reports.
110 projects with a total investment of 85 billion yuan ($12.7 billion) have been registered in the new Binhai district of the North China port city of Tianjin recently. The projects are based on both the Chinese and overseas foreign capital and cover areas that are of a priority for the Binhai area district development, the report said.
In particular, the projects are related to equipment manufacturing, IT-field, etc.
The projects registered this time in the Binhai district include Vestas company project on production of 3.5MW wind turbines, project on the battery recycling project for vehicles using new energy sources, a number of projects of the Chinese state-owned electricity producer State Power Investment Corporation and others. The projects are related to such areas as intellectual technologies, equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, information technologies, alternative energy sources and new materials, leasing and factoring, the publication reads.
With this it is noted, the new district of Binhai occupies 19% of Tianjin and 1% of the area of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. Last year the region’s gross output exceeded 1 trillion yuan, bringing Binhai to new state-level.
