130 people have been detained in China due to distribution of illegal vaccines

Almaty. March 25. Silkroadnews - The Chinese law enforcement authorities have brought 69 criminal cases and detained 130 people in connection with Shandong (East China) vaccine scandal.

On Thursday representatives of the General Administration of China Food and Drug Administration under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Control Bureau of the National Health and Family Planning Commission informed on the case investigation.

Police has seized 20 000 vaccines doses. As the MPS representative said the point in case is about drugs produced by the legal producers on a legal basis. The case has centered on a resident of Shandong surnamed Pang who did not have the due license yet purchased vaccines with a total value of 260 million yuan ($1= 6.5yuan) and then resold them for 310 million yuan, but not for 570 million yuan, as it was previously reported.

In various regions of the country the police have found out 87 people who sold or bought the vaccines in contact with Pang. The investigation also has revealed 29 enterprises and 16 vaccination services involved in selling drugs business.
