20 people reported killed in the crash of cargo Boeing-747 in Chui oblast of Kyrgyzstan
Almaty. January 16. Silkroadnews – 20 people were killed, about 15 houses destroyed as a result of crash of cargo plane Boeing-747 in the Chui region of Kyrgyzstan, press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
“Cargo plane Boeing-747 (flight 6491) crashed at 07:30 a.m. on January 16. As of 09:30 a.m. the number of people killed exceeded 20 people. There are also people injured and about 15 housing buildings destroyed, according to preliminary data”, the statement at the Federal Rescue Service site says.
A fire on a cargo plane is reported localized.
As information on site of the government of the Kyrgyz Republic says, a cargo plane crashed behind the runway of “Manas” airport while landing. The plane belongs to “Turkish Airlines” company. Emergency response groups and fire-fighters work at the crash site.
