3-5% of all banking to be Islamic by 2020 in Kazakhstan – National Bank

Astana. April 15. Silkroadnews - - 3-5% of all banking in Kazakhstan is expected to be Islamic in its nature by 2020. Such an estimate is provided in the project for the finance industry development by 2050 that can be accessed via the National Bank’s web page.
It is also highlighted that banks are to operate with 80% of country’s GDP in their equity with loan portfolio representing 60% of GDR by 2020
