6 Children blown up in explosion in nearby Kyrgyz border
Bishkek. April 18. Silkroadnews – 6 children aged 4 to 10 found an unidentified explosive in the outskirts of Zardaly village (nearby the border) on the 17th of April. The explosive blew up as a result of caress handling. 5 children were wounded. One child was killed at the spot, another one died in the hospital. This was reported by the border control agency.
Zardaly village is located 2 000 m. above the sea level and Kara Belek pass is not accessible for cars due to the risk of avalanche. Thus, border officers along with local residents had to carry the children to another village 12 km away. After receiving some medical aid there, children were forwarded to the regional hospital.
