7% annual inflation is projected in Tajikistan
Almaty. October 31. Silkroadnews – 7% annual inflation is projected in Tajikistan, TajikTA reports.
“From October to December of this year, taking into account the planned increase in prices for water and electricity services, the rate of inflation within the planned target is expected to be 7% per annum”, the publication says with the reference to the National Bank.
In September inflation level was 0.4%, the annual rate makes 6.4%.
During the last 12 months the prices for passenger transport services grew 9.9%, household services – 8 1%, communications – 0.1%, education services – 12.1%, rents – 5.9% and housing and communal services – 5.8%.
Increase in prices for non-food products and liquefied gas made 28.1%, for clothing and footwear – 16.9% and for medicines – 15%.
According to the National Bank, due to changes in the world market rises in prices for food, including sugar, made 21.7%, for butter – 11.9%. At the same time prices for eggs fell by 0.8%, meat and meat products – by 2.4%, bread and bakery products – by 1.5%.
