72.47 million tons of oil was transported via the Sino-Russian oil pipeline by the end of August 2015

Almaty. September 14. Silkroadnews - By the end of August 2015 through the Sino-Russian oil pipeline was transported 72.47 million tons of oil, reported Xinhua news agency.
As noted, Russia is an important supplier of crude oil to China. In 2011 was officially commissioned the pipeline "China-Russia" with a total length of almost 1 thousand km. Pipeline way to the supply the oil is superior than rail transportation, which used to be the main type of transportation of oil from Russia to China.
Sino-Russian oil pipeline originates in receiving and acceptance point of pumping station "Skovorodino", Amur region of Russia, crosses the Sino-Russian border, to the territory of Heilongjiang Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China and ends at Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. The design capacity of the pipeline is 15 million tons per year, maximum - 30 million tons.
