Almaty. March 2. Silkroadnews - In 2016 96 thousand containers will be transported on the route China-Kazakhstan-Europe, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev states, KazTAG reports.
“Only in 2015, compared to 2013, the flow of containers in the direction of China-Kazakhstan-Europe increased from six thousand to forty-eight thousand. This year, for the first time, this number will reach ninety-six thousand. This is the result of our country’s infrastructural policy,” - N. Nazarbayev said on Wednesday at the meeting with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Kazakhstan.
“The railway lines have been built from the Pacific Ocean through Kazakhstan, Russia to Europe, then to Iran and then the Persian Gulf open all the stages of the great Silk Road. In 2013 77 trains run this route, this year we expect 1100 trains and this number will continue to grow,” - he added.
