A fire in one of the world’s tallest residential skyscrapers in Dubai

Almaty. August 4. Silkroadnews – One of the world’s tallest residential skyscrapers in Dubai – the Marina Torch – caught a fire on the 9th floor of the tower, Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) reports.
The police carry out evacuation. According to the publication, the police and firefighters are working at the site of the incident, no victims have been reported. Witnesses say the fire began from the upper floors of the building.
A police spokesman said that the “big fire” started on the 9th floor, now it is localized. As Gulf News was told by eyewitnesses, the streets close to the tower are filled with smoke, there are a lot of debris near the building.
Later, the civil defense service reported on Twitter that the fire was extinguished. The Dubai authorities said they will provide all the people affected by the fire with shelter in the buildings closest to Marina Torch.
