A Japanese company won a tender for the construction of chemical complex in Uzbekistan worth more than $960 million

Almaty. March 6. Silkroadnews - Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. won the tender for the construction of a chemical complex on the basis of "Navoiazot", said Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) on Friday.
Under the terms of the tender, announced in 2014, the Japanese company will construct "turnkey" complex for prosuction of ammonia with a capacity of 660 thousand tons and urea with a capacity of 577.5 thousand tons per year. The contract with the winner is expected to be signed in the next month. Construction of the complex is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2015.
Funding for the project with total cost of $961.7 million will be financed by Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan in the amount of $320 million, own funds of "Navoiazot" and loans from local and foreign banks.
