Beijing. May 15. Silkroadnews - A number of councils of the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) authorized agencies heads has been set in the fields of accreditation, standardization, agro-industrial complex and transport in the course of the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports citing the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
Among the members of the union’s new councils there will be heads of the relevant national ministries and departments, as well as the EEC panel (ministries) members supervising the activities areas, the report said.
The meeting agenda also included the approval of the major reference points for the EAEU states macroeconomic policy for 2018-2019.
Priority objectives of economic policy for the medium term will be the activation of the process of restoring economic growth and setting a basis for sustainable economic development of the union’s states. The achievement of these goals provides for the implementation of joint measures within the EAEU framework, as well as realization of the measures taken by the states to create favorable macroeconomic conditions, stimulate investment activity, improve business environment and create conditions to raise productivity in the real sector of the economy, the information says.
To remind, at the recent summit of the EAEU in Sochi, the leaders of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia decided to grant the EAEU observer status to the Republic of Moldova.
