Almaty. January 31. Silkroadnews – China’s power output of wind energy generators continued to grow in 2016, data by the National Energy Administration of China shows, “Xinhua” agency reports.

At the end of 2016 the total capacity of wind turbines in China reached 149 million kW, with 2016 growth of 19.3 million kW.

In 2016 China’s wind power plants produced 241 billion kW/h of electricity, making 4% of the total electricity produced in the country. In 2015 wind plants’ output amounted to 3.3% of energy produced in total.

In the meantime, losses caused by imbalance of wind resource allocation and imperfections of electrical power networks in the production of wind power amounted to nearly 50 billion kW/h in 2016, having exceeded 33.9 billion kW/h of 2015.
