ADB to allocate $241 million to Tajikistan till 2018

Almaty. July 5. Silkroadnews – In 2016-2018 the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide Tajikistan with $241 million to support the inclusive economic growth, TajikTA reports.

“In 2016-2018 the Asian Development Bank will provide Tajikistan with $241 million to support the inclusive economic growth and structural reforms aimed at investment climate strengthening,” the statement said.

It is noted, that this indicative program of assistance includes projects to support the structural reforms to enhance the investment environment, development of transport and energy infrastructure, improvement of professional skills, food security and water resources management.

Out of the amount indicated $70 million are expected to be allocated in 2016, followed by $85 million in 2017 and $86 million – in 2018. However, the final amounts will depend on the national achievements and ADB funds available.
